Top 5 Hamilton Neighbourhoods for Families
When the City of Hamilton comes to mind, you might think of “Steeltown Pride,” where residents are known for their grit and resilience. Since Dofasco is one of the top employers in Ontario, this association is understandable. Hamiltonians are proud of our reputation that is so well deserved. That, however, is only one tiny part of the incredible City of Hamilton.
Ask anyone who lives here, and they could talk for hours about the hiking trails, the waterfalls, and the stunning natural beauty of the Niagara Escarpment. Then there’s the music and art scene that easily rivals Toronto’s even though ours gets less attention. And, of course, let’s not forget about the delectable and diverse dining options and exciting new events rolling into town like clockwork.
All of this makes for a lively and exciting lifestyle, while excellent schools draw many new residents to the city. There’s a lot more to Hamilton than meets the eye, and that’s why it’s quickly becoming a primo destination for people all over the province. What are some of our top neighbourhoods for families? Here is a closer look at a few of our favourites.

The real estate landscape consists of mainly of detached homes, split levels, bungalows, spacious two-storey houses and the occasional townhouse. Though many of these dwellings are older, they are meticulously well-kept and regal looking.
